What is Classical Education?
Classical Education is a “tried and true” method of education that has reigned for centuries. It teaches what is good (ethics), true (intellect), and beautiful (appreciation of the world). Through meaningful teacher-to-student communication, students are taught to strive for excellence. A Classical education includes the study of a classical language as well as a study of the West’s failures and triumphs, both of which form a strong foundation of knowledge that the world we live in today is built upon.
What is Christian Education?
Christian education is an education that prepares students for life in this world, and also eternal life in heaven. We believe God’s Word is the ultimate source of truth and wisdom, and as such it has a place in all aspects of our school day. Grace Lutheran School instructs students in the teachings of Scripture through Bible History classes, catechism (a study of teaching of the Bible) classes, Scripture memorization, and Hymnology classes. This aspect of education provides students with the answers to life’s biggest questions and fosters their faith and trust in the one true God.
